Guide to Home Learning

Since the first national lockdown in March 2020, we have been busy developing ways to ensure children can continue their journey through the curriculum when at home.  We have been using many of the websites that form our approach remote learning so, fortunately, children and parents are already familiar with them.  However, some new sites have been introduced and this page is designed to share our overall approach to remote learning and provide children and parents with as much help as we can provide.

Download our Remote Education Guide for Parents by clicking the image on the left.  Find out where and when activities for children to complete at home will be posted and where to go for help whilst your child is learning at home.
Our Remote Education Provision Guide for Parents gives details about what parents can expect school to provide for their child during a national lockdown, if a child has to self isolate, or if a class bubble has to close and children have to learn from home. Click on the image on the left to download the guide.

All children at Bidston Avenue have access to Office 365.  Click on the logo on the left for instructions about how to use this at home.

We use Seesaw in Y1-6 for remote learning. Click on the logo on the left to see our guide to getting started with Seesaw.

If you have a problem accessing any of the websites we use for remote learning, email oml@bidstonavenue.wirral.sch.uk.
Click the image to the left to access a guide to get you started if your child has received a laptop as part of the Department for Education's scheme.
