Bidston Avenue Choir - Projects
Our choir meets on Tuesdays, currently. We have had as many as 90 children in it.
Bidston Avenue have always had a school choir, but in recent times we have been involved in some fabulous musical projects, including:
Concert for Peace for Medicine sans frontiers - Floral Pavilion (June 2017 / June 2018)
Birkenhead Sings Show - we accompanied Charlie Landsborough - Floral Pavilion (June 2022)
Two Black Sheep Album - Recorded a choir section for one of the tracks - 2018 (released Jan 2019)
Radio City Christmas Concerts - Liverpool Anglican Cathedral (Dec 2017 / Dec 2018)
Christ Church Birkenhead Christmas Concerts - Dec 2022/ Dec 2023

Annual performances for The St James Community Carol Service
Our latest choir lead is Amy Chalmers. Amy is a talented musician and accompanies many artists and is one part of the Two Black Sheep duo. Amy has lots of choir experience and leads Over The Water with her brother Matt. Amy has led our choir for many years now, initially as a parent and now as a part time role with Mrs Montgomery and other staff supporting.
Upto summer 2017, Linton Stephens was our choir lead. Linton is a talented bassoonist and currently presents a programme called 'Classical Fix' on BBC Radio 3.
