  • STRIKE DAY

Wed 26 Mar 2014 Mr Brady

    Dear Parent/Carer

STRIKE ACTION, WEDNESDAY 26TH MARCH 2014

As you will be aware from the media, the National Union of Teachers will be taking industrial action on the 26th March 2014.

The action (a one day strike) will result in class or whole school closures across the country.

The decision to close the school or send pupils home is never taken lightly, but in this instance, where staff have elected to take lawful industrial action, I will have no choice but to take appropriate steps to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all pupils.

We are aware that class closures inconvenience parents and carers and so I am writing to give you advance notice of the likely impact of the action on this school.

ON STRIKE DAY, SCHOOL WILL ONLY BE OPEN FOR PUPILS IN:

    Mrs Caldicott’s Class – R1

    Miss Sinnott’s Class – R2

    Miss Rimmer’s Class – 2R

    Mr Banks’s Class – 4M

    Mr Brooks’s Class – 5B

    Ms Ryan’s Class – 5R

THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES FOR ALL OTHER CHILDREN ON THAT DAY.

School will be open, as usual, on Thursday 27th March 2014 and all children will be expected to attend as normal.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
