  • Free School Meals

    Mon 13 Jul 2020

The numbers of free school meal children have increased greatly since lockdown. Being on free school meals is not something to be ashamed of and ensures that your child receives a nutritious meal paid for by school (worth £2.30 per day in a normal school week).

During lockdown, we have ensured that all children receive a voucher for £15 per week and £90 for the summer holiday.

If you think you are entitled or want to complete the form as a back-up then please go to https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-wirral

Applications are confidential and are very quick. No-one in school knows who is entitled to a free meal (there are no separate queues like in the 80s!).

  • Year 5 arrive back for afternoons.

    Thu 09 Jul 2020

We welcome back year 5s in the afternoons starting from Monday 13th July 2020. Their teachers are excited to be seeing them after four months.

Emails have been sent, with more details, to families who have accepted the offer.

  • New classes for 2020-21

    Fri 03 Jul 2020

We have sent an email to all parents/carers to share the classes for next year.

As part of the September return plan, we have delayed the dates for moving up to the next year group. We feel it is important to support the social and emotional well-being of all children by giving children time to reconnect with their friends, class, teachers/TAs and school before moving up to the new class.

There will be time for the new teacher to safely meet the children before the official handover.

The current classteacher(s) is/are best placed to ensure your child settles well and they can check where they are up to academically too.

  • Get feedback by using Seesaw

    Wed 01 Jul 2020

Seesaw is now available for all children between years 1 to 6.  Teachers are allocating work, which will duplicate and/or be on top of some of the work provided in the work packs.

Mr Brooks has produced a page and video to explain how to use Seesaw.
