School attendance continues to be mandatory for all pupils and the usual rules on school attendance apply. This includes parents’ and carers' duty to ensure their child regularly attends school, and schools’ and local authorities’ ability to issue sanctions, including fixed penalty notices, for poor attendance.
The Department for Education has made it clear that it expects schools and local authorities to continue to communicate clear expectations around attendance to families, identify pupils at risk of disengagement and develop plans to re-engage them.
As restrictions begin to lift, we know some families may be looking to take holidays during term time. As usual, parents/carers should plan their holidays around school breaks and avoid seeking permission to take their children out of school on holiday.

The Governing Body analyse this information, regularly, to see how we can improve our spending and ensure we provide value for public money.
The latest dataset, financial year 2019-2020. has been included on the website since 28th January 2021.
It has been great to see children getting online and accessing our remote learning. Our remote learning sessions/activities are provided to help educate children who are not able to be in the classroom with their teacher.
Every single one of our teachers are in the classroom currently, so we are doing our best to provide as many recorded teaching sessions as we can via Oak Academy.
Through remote learning, our aim is to make sure that every child continues their education during lockdown, even if they, or their teacher, cannot attend school.

What if I struggle with the internet at home?
We can help you to access more data from your mobile network (see Mr Brady's email about it) or we can provide you with a Vodafone 30Gb monthly sim card (limited number available and one per family).
I don't have a device to use at home.
Again, we can help. We can provide a paper-based pack of work (many of you still have the last ones). Contact the school office to find out how we can help.

We are fully open to critical workers' children and children of families we have contacted due to other reasons, including Education, Health Care Plan (EHCP) and vulnerable children.
We are currently sorting out Free School Meal Hampers from Edsential Catering for those children not attending school and we hope they will be delivered by Neo.
Remote learning has begun, so please check out your child's Seesaw account ASAP and Tapestry for F2 (they are having some difficulties at the Tapestry end though). Education is continuing, so it is important that you try to keep your child up to speed, but also at a pace that does not cause extra stress and worry for the family. You can only do what you can do. We are in a pandemic and we all have to remember this.

Dear Parents/Carers,
You will have heard the announcement from the Prime Minister about the latest national lockdown. This means that from tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January 2021) we will only be open to the children of Key Workers and vulnerable.
All school routines (start/finish, pick-up/drop-off, playtimes/lunchtimes, classes) will be the same until we know the exact numbers in school. Uniform is an expectation as this will not be childcare...we will continue teaching.
Children will be able to access Remote Learning via Seesaw, the numerous school online websites, and our school website.
Our community has worked to support each other throughout the pandemic and we hope that this is one final push towards our freedom from this virus.
